Your Other Family Doctor
Regular visits to our office allow us to stay ahead of health issues.
Hi, I am Cheryl Lynn Haywood, VMD, I often am called Dr. Cheryl by my clients. I've been a veterinarian for the past 30 years and am in absolutely the right profession for me. I consider myself the animal's advocate and always strive to do my best for them. I have been passionate about and committed to animal care since a young girl, and remain this way to this day. I grew up in Bucks County, PA (outside Philadelphia); attended Penn State University for undergrad and University of Penn for vet school. I've lived in Butler County for the past 25 years. I have a number of dogs and cats now (I call them "my kids"). I have also had rabbits, guinea pigs, pet rats and hamsters in the past. I have been involved in dog and cat rescue for 40 years - yes, even before I became a vet!
My special interests in veterinary medicine include:
Spending the time to get puppies and kittens off to a good start, both with their health and with training.
Geriatric medicine, I love the old ones and believe they need special care and attention as they age.
Many of my long term clients have become my friends over the years. I would love to have others join them.
My name is Julie. I went to tech school in Pittsburgh and became licensed in 2006. I grew up in Pennsylvania with tons of animals. Cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, pigs, horses, goats, you name it. I have always loved animals. This is my passion. This is why I am here at Myoma Animal Hospital, and have been since we opened in 2008. I currently own a Rottweiler, 4 cats and a 30 gallon fish tank.
My name is Stephanie. I am a certified Veterinary Assistant. My goal is to one day become a licensed Veterinary Technician. I was born and raised in Northern Butler County. Growing up there were many pets in my life, from dogs and cats, to rabbits and skunks. Animals are my passion, as I currently own 3 dogs and 5 cats, along with multiple types of birds (chickens, ducks and Guineas). It is an honor to be working here at Myoma Animal Hospital doing what I love.
My name is Gladys, I go by Gladdy. I am a lifelong resident of Evans City and have 4 grown children. Currently I have 6 fur babies, all rescues, including Rufus my only dog, who was formerly one of Butler County Humane Society's finest. The other 5 are all cats, each is a unique individual. Following my passion for animals and their care, I began my career as a Veterinary Assistant 25 years ago and still today feel as passionate and committed as ever.
